Truth, I never thought in a million years I would be in the cover of any magazine! When I started culinary school 10 years ago at College of DuPage, I did it just for fun. It was something I enjoyed and I just wanted to know more. I wanted to learn new techniques, new flavors, new ingredients. But over time it became more then just fun! I got this overwhelming desire to open a restaurant. Nothing fancy, just a small place where I could make the food that made me happy, the food that brought me back to being home with mommy and sharing that food with others! With the support of my husband, Dave Black, that dream came true and Caribbean Corner came to be!! So here we are, over 4 years later and going strong! It’s been hard work, lots of ups and downs, but it’s all been worth it! Looking forward to many more years at CC’s!!! Don’t ever let anyone one tell you you can’t live out your dream!!!
